From the first time I spotted Pizza Moon, I knew it had to be on my list. Its whimsical, vintage Art Nouveau–inspired décor—think Mucha-esque details and a marquee nodding to the 1902 film A Trip to the Moon—makes this quick-service spot stand out the moment you approach.
After several visits to Epic Universe, we’ve made Pizza Moon a regular stop on each trip.
In this review I’ll share our impressions and the practical details you should know before you go.

Atmosphere & Location:
The Universal app describes the spot as the Théâtre de L’Imagination turned pizza house: “Pizza Moon, where you’ll find a galaxy of out-of-this-world pizzas.” That sums it up nicely.

Pizza Moon sits on the left side of Celestial Park, between the portals to Super Nintendo World and Dark Universe. It serves lunch and dinner and, like most quick-service locations in the park, does not accept reservations.
When you enter, you’ll join a short line near the bar at the far left corner. Despite the restaurant’s popularity, we’ve rarely waited more than about 10 minutes for a table.

Seating is straightforward—mostly metal tables and chairs—and the dining room is large and open. What captures your attention is the decor: royal blue walls, star-like lights, and Art Nouveau-style cutouts suspended from ceilings and walls. Dim overhead lighting combined with large windows creates a cozy, theatrical vibe.

It has the feel of a themed cafeteria rather than an upscale dining room, but that relaxed, vintage-inspired charm works really well for a casual meal in the park.
The Menu:

There are no paper menus—each table has a QR code that opens mobile ordering in the Universal app, which is the norm at many quick-service locations in the park. The ordering process is simple and intuitive.
The menu focuses on creative pizzas—one even features an ube crust—along with a handful of pastas and salads. I always go for the Giant Mushroom Pizza and haven’t regretted it.
Prices are reasonable for a theme-park setting. Most pizzas fall in the roughly $19–$22 range.
There’s also a gluten-free crust and an allergy-friendly menu now available, which is a welcome option worth trying on a future visit.
What We’ve Ordered:
Our go-to is the Giant Mushroom Pizza: roasted garlic béchamel, Fromage de Lune, wild mushrooms, truffle aioli, and parsley (about $19.16 with tax during our last visit).

At 12 inches, it comfortably feeds two people. The crust is bubbly and tender—reminding me of the best qualities of Mellow Mushroom’s dough. Toppings are well-balanced: garlicky white sauce, melty cheese, earthy mushrooms, and a finishing hit of truffle aioli. Bites with extra aioli are particularly decadent.

We also tried the Moon Cheese Caesar on a recent visit: chopped romaine, Moon Cheese™, Caesar dressing, grated parmesan, and croutons.

The salad is a good shareable size for two to four people alongside pizza. It’s a classic Caesar with the fun addition of “moon cheese”—baked parmesan crisps that add a satisfying crunch.
We also sampled the Harvest Moon pizza: tomato sauce, grilled artichokes, Divina® tomatoes, roasted peppers, Castelvetrano olives, and arugula.

This one was fine but not our favorite—the tomato flavor dominated. Still, it shared the same excellent, bubbly crust that elevates the other pizzas.
Know Before You Go:
- Quick service: No reservations required.
- Family-friendly: A solid option for families or groups seeking a casual meal.
- Popularity: Busy at peak times, but lines usually move quickly.
- Portion sizes: Generous portions—most pizzas are large enough to share between two people.
- Pricing: Fairly affordable for a theme park, with most pizzas around $20.
All told, Mr. Garlic and I really enjoyed Pizza Moon. The pizzas are genuinely good (not just by theme-park standards), prices are reasonable, and the whimsical atmosphere is fun.
If you want a comfortable place to rest, cool off, and share a reliably tasty pizza while exploring the park, Pizza Moon is worth adding to your list.
